What Automatic Occlusion Cancellation Does
When an earbud covers your ears, the sound of your own voice can get trapped, making it feel louder and more resonant from the inside. This is the same effect you notice when you plug your ears with your fingers and start talking, where your voice suddenly sounds boomy and like it isn’t your own.
LIZN Hearpieces® were initially designed with excellent occlusion reduction; however, AOC takes that comfort a step further by automatically helping reduce the closed-in, echoing sensation that can make your own voice sound unnatural.

With this update, the LIZN App now includes a balance control that lets users adjust sound between their right and left LIZN Hearpieces® in both LIZN Mode and Earphone Mode.
For someone who hears better in one ear than the other, this small adjustment can make conversations feel easier, more balanced, and more natural.
How to Access the Update
Both features are available through the LIZN App, and updating takes only a couple of minutes.
First, make sure you have the latest version of the LIZN App from the App Store or Google Play. Then open the app, take your Hearpieces® out of the charger so they connect, and open the Settings menu in the top right corner. Your devices will automatically update from there.
Once updated, you can experience Automatic Occlusion Cancellation and explore the new balance control to personalize your listening experience.
