A vision takes shape
LIZN was founded by Michael Løvbjerg, Niels Farver, and Mads Rugholm, bringing together decades of experience from the Danish hearing aid and professional audio industries. Their ambition was simple: to create hearing technology that makes conversations clearer in everyday life. Development of the first LIZN Hearing Earbuds began in 2015, and the LIZN trademark was officially registered the following year.
Innovation recognized
As the technology evolved, LIZN secured patents protecting its core innovations and registered the industrial design of both the Hearpieces® and charging case. In 2018, LIZN received the prestigious CES Innovation Award, followed by the German Design Award in 2019—recognition of both its technological innovation and Designed in Denmark philosophy.
Choosing quality over compromise
The original vision was to build an affordable solution using components from the consumer electronics industry. As development progressed, it became clear that existing platforms could not deliver the performance LIZN demanded. Rather than compromise the user experience, the team made the difficult decision to start over and develop an entirely new platform from the ground up.
A breakthrough realized
After four years of intensive development, the new platform was completed, tested, and certified. Powered by LIZN Technology™, LIZN Hearing Earbuds help people hear the person—not the noise while combining clearer conversations with music, calls, and everyday listening in one discreet device. Today, our mission remains the same: to help more people be present in the conversations that matter most.

Niels Farver
Niels is the inventor of LIZN Technology™ and the driving force behind LIZN's patented speech-enhancement platform. His expertise in hearing technology, psychoacoustics, and professional audio forms the foundation of every LIZN product.
Michael Løvbjerg
Michael leads LIZN's commercial strategy and global growth. His experience spans startups, business development, and technology companies, with a clear focus on bringing innovative hearing technology to people around the world.
Jan Abildgaard Pedersen
Jan has held senior engineering roles at Bang & Olufsen, Amazon, Lyngdorf Steinway, and Dynaudio, and served as President of the Audio Engineering Society. At LIZN, he leads product development with a relentless focus on performance, quality, and reliability.
Mads Rugholm
Mads brings decades of experience from the hearing industry, combining sales, marketing, and business development. He ensures that LIZN's technology is communicated with clarity, relevance, and a deep understanding of customer needs.
Lars Holst
Lars specializes in embedded systems and product development for professional audio and consumer electronics. He turns ideas into finished products through structured execution, technical expertise, and attention to detail.
