We all know and love the Swiss Army Knife. It's the ultimate versatile tool, packed with solutions for just about any situation. Need a screwdriver? A bottle opener? A tiny saw? It's all right there, intuitively laid out and ready to go.
When it comes to the development of multifunctional digital devices, however, experience has shown that the transition from analog to digital often creates challenges, misunderstandings, and sometimes frustrations. Lack of standards, illogical functionality, and especially unclear language can make using these products a questionable experience. With more digital products on the market than ever, a completely new discipline has been developed – Man Machine Interface (MMI) – which aims to make it easy and unproblematic for the consumer to optimize their experience and get used to a new product.
LIZN Hearpieces®, a multifunctional hearing device developed to serve several functions optimized for all of your individual needs, does just that. It is our Swiss Army Knife of hearing technology. But how did we get here?
The Challenge: Optimizing your experience
When it comes to compact multifunctional hearing devices with limited physical space, challenges to the user experience will inevitably arise. If the product sits in your ears and is out of sight, we raise the risk of a difficult operation, especially in social settings. Knowing that each individual’s learning experience and preferred mode of operating such a personal product like a hearing device may differ, the problem is increased by the fact that some people are auditory learners and some are visual learners, so there is a difference in which Man Machine Interface each user may each prefer, ultimately requiring a more personalized operation experience.
The Solution: Designed for the User
When developing LIZN Hearpieces®, there has been a focus on making the controls as easy and intuitive as possible. LIZN Hearpieces® can be operated with both a simple touch function and a mobile App function right on your smartphone. When using the touch function with voice response, your LIZN Hearpieces® will tell you whether you are in Earphone mode for media listening, or LIZN mode for clarifying speech in noisy settings. You can also easily be informed of which Speech Clarity Preset you have chosen, and discreetly tap to operate all of your built-in customization settings while chatting. If you opt to use the LIZN App for controls, you can experience a constant visual overview of the status of your Hearpieces® in addition to a lightning-fast operation.
Always Evolving: Our software update
Unlike the multifunctional Swiss Army Knife, a digital device like LIZN Hearpieces® has the advantage of being able to correct errors and improve its functionality via software updates. When it comes to our Hearpieces, we encourage all users to install the LIZN App on their smartphone, so you can download new software when available. Simply scan the QR on the box and download the App on your phone for easy access to updates.
